Job Summary

The Vacuum Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining vacuum trucks to transport and dispose of liquids and materials at oilfield and industrial locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, the ability to work in demanding environments, and compliance with DOT, company, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate vacuum trucks to load, transport, and unload fluids such as produced water, drilling fluids, frac fluids, sludge, and other oilfield materials

  • Safely drive on highways, lease roads, and job sites in compliance with DOT and company policies

  • Connect, monitor, and disconnect hoses, valves, and pumps

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance

  • Complete required logs, tickets, and documentation accurately

  • Follow all safety, environmental, and site-specific procedures

  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and site personnel

  • Maintain cleanliness of truck, equipment, and work areas

  • Work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL (Class A preferred)

  • Tanker endorsement required

  • Current DOT medical card

  • Clean driving record

  • Ability to lift heavy hoses and equipment (up to 75 lbs)

  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous vacuum truck or oilfield experience

  • Knowledge of oilfield fluids and disposal procedures

  • H2S, OSHA, or other oilfield safety certifications

  • Familiarity with electronic logs or ticketing systems

Work Environment

  • Oilfield and industrial locations

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and industrial hazards

  • Physically demanding role requiring standing, lifting, and climbing
