1957

The roots of Curtis Well Service originated in 1957 with Jack T. Curtis Sr. and his partners, who were heavily involved in running dirt work equipment. Their expertise was on Civil Site Construction, specifically the building of site locations, pits, and roads for the booming drilling industry.

1962

In 1962, Jack T. Curtis Sr. and several other partners formed Curtis Well Service. They operated two Wilson service rigs and began their involvement with the well service industry in the Texas Panhandle, built on Trust and Loyalty. As time went on, partners were bought out, leaving Jack T. Curtis Sr. and his brother Joe B. Curtis as the sole owners. They would continue to service the local Oil Field Industry with workover rigs, dirt work equipment, steam trucks, and roustabout trucks.

1977 - 1981

Jack T. Curtis Sr.’s two sons, Joe E. Curtis and Jack T. Curtis Jr., joined the company in 1977 and 1981 respectively. For the next 40 years Joe E. Curtis and Jack T. Curtis Jr would continue to grow the company. With great resilience they would stand apart as a consistent major provider of services in the Texas Panhandle. Through these years Joe E. Curtis and Jack T. Curtis Jr. would establish the company’s foundation and customer focused culture for the Company that we know today. This foundation led to becoming a mainstay for Oil Field Service Work, Civil Site Work, and Oil & Gas Operating in the Texas Panhandle.

2013

In 2013, Joe E. Curtis’s sons, Tyson C. Curtis and Andrew C. Curtis would join the Company purchasing Jack T. Curtis Jr’s stake in the Company. At this time the company would rebrand to Curtis Service Company (Curtis) with Andrew C. Curtis assuming leadership of the day-to-day operations. Today, Andrew C. Curtis serves as the President of Curtis, as they continue to provide trusted services, empowered by the value placed on relationships. Curtis continues to offer Oil Field Services built on multi-generational experience. In recent years Curtis has also built upon their Civil Site Construction experience and offers Construction Services specializing in the Utility and Infrastructure Sectors. With a driven spirit, both divisions are keyed in on providing a positive impact to their customers and the community!
