Field Operations & Project Oversight
• Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities for civil/utility infrastructure projects
• Coordinate daily work plans, crew assignments, and subcontractor activities
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Monitor production rates and adjust resources to maintain project schedule
• Conduct daily site walks to verify quality, progress, and compliance
Safety & Compliance
• Lead and enforce a zero-incident safety culture on all Curtis Service Company job sites
• Conduct safety meetings and project-specific task plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and local/state requirements
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; implement corrective actions promptly
• Maintain all required permits, environmental controls, and site documentation
Team & Subcontractor Management
• Hire, mentor, and supervise field crews, foremen, and laborers
• Manage subcontractors for specialized scopes including grading, paving, hot taps, and boring
• Resolve field conflicts and maintain productive working relationships
• Provide regular performance feedback and hold teams accountable to Curtis standards
Scheduling & Cost Control
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain project schedules
• Identify and mitigate schedule risks, delays, and scope changes
• Prepare and submit daily field reports, progress photos, and look-ahead schedules
Quality & Documentation
• Enforce quality control procedures ensuring work meets plans and specifications
• Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, and owners’ representatives
• Document RFIs, change orders, and field directives accurately
• Maintain organized job-site as-builts, files, logs, and correspondence
• 5+ years of construction field experience with at least 2 years as superintendent or lead foreman
• Proven experience on civil/infrastructure projects (utilities, pipeline, or similar)
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil drawings and specifications
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in West Texas weather conditions year-round
• Experience with water, sewer, and gas pipeline installations
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
• Experience managing projects specific to pump stations, wellfields, and pipelines
This position is based in Pampa, Texas (Gray County) and requires consistent on-site presence throughout the project lifecycle. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions typical of West Texas. Some travel to other Curtis Service Company project sites in the region may be required. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday; overtime and weekend hours may be necessary to meet project milestones.
