Project Planning & Execution
• Lead all phases of project delivery from pre-construction through closeout
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and work plans
• Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, designers, and regulatory agencies
• Manage project scope and ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements
Budget & Cost Management
• Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets throughout the project lifecycle
• Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices and change orders
• Track labor, material, and equipment costs against budget forecasts
• Identify cost risks early and implement corrective measures to protect margins
• Submit accurate and timely pay applications and project cost reports
Scheduling & Risk Management
• Develop master project schedules and maintain look-ahead planning tools
• Identify schedule risks, delays, and conflicts; implement mitigation strategies
• Coordinate resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects as needed
Team & Subcontractor Management
• Provide leadership and direction to superintendents, foremen, and field crews
• Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractor bids, contracts, and performance
• Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture aligned with Curtis standards
• Mentor junior project staff and support their professional development
Safety & Compliance
• Champion a zero-incident safety culture across all project sites
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and permit requirements
• Participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective action reviews
• Maintain all required environmental controls, permits, and site documentation
Client & Stakeholder Relations
• Serve as the primary client contact for project status, issues, and decisions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, inspectors, and public agencies
• Negotiate and resolve contract disputes, RFIs, and field directives professionally
• Prepare and deliver clear project status reports and presentations
• 3+ years of construction project management experience on civil/infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated success managing projects from $1M to $5M+ in value
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and contract administration
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements
• Valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or business-related field
This position is based in Pampa, Texas (Gray County), with regular presence at active project sites throughout the Texas Panhandle and West Texas. Work involves a combination of office-based planning and on-site field visits in varying outdoor weather conditions. Some travel to other Curtis project locations in the region may be required. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday (7:00 to 5:00); additional hours may be necessary during critical project phases or to meet key milestones.
